17: a valet tray for men in the new economy

Men in the new economy bring three and only three things out every morning. So why not create a valet tray to house just these three items.

Trays are the type of storage that are totally visible making them the best way to storage daily items. The tray also comes with a small hole to wire the USB charging cord.

Project 13 : Painting Hanger DIY

Oil paintings can take month to dry completely. It’s a time and space-consuming process.  So, I had to build this painting hanger.

To make it really work for you, it should be able to hold as many paintings as the first one is completely dry before it runs out of space.

I chose to mitre joints them together which is not very strong. As such, I installed dowels to reinforce them.

This thing does help me save a lot of space in my cluttered room.

Project 12 : Wooden Wrist Watch Case

Through out my lifetime, I do not expect myself to buy a lot of watches. However, every one of them I owned, I have worn them for quite a long period of time and therefore they are all memorable for me.

So I decided to take time to build a nice wooden case to store them all, because they certainly deserve it.

Project 10 : medicine cabinet

Last month I was learning how to make a box with dovetail joints. Now that I have made it, I have to make use of it in some way. So, I decided to turn the box into this medicine cabinet.

In doing so, I have to make the front panel for the dovetailed box. It made of four small pieces of oak glued together to make it like one large panel. Then the hinges and knob were installed, and finally the red cross sign. The entire process was quite simple and straightforward. img_0265

It is essential to have a medicine cabinet or at least some first-aid kits in your woodworking shop. Who knows some day you might need it badly. Woodworking is quite a dangerous hobby. Safety first.
