Dan Dan Mian was originated in China. It is one of the easiest noodle recipe to prepare at home, because it uses minced pork as the key protein. My own recipe is quite different from the convention. I like to eat it without soup.
You can buy chilli oil from supermarket, but you can also make it at home. It’s simple. Simply pour boiling oil into minced dried red hot chilli. You can add some herbs such as Chinese sichuan pepper along with some salt, but that is totally optional.
- Egg noodle
- Minced pork
- Ground peanuts
- Chopped spring onions
- minced garlics
- vegetable oil
- Chilli oil
- Soy sauce
- Sugar, MSG (optional)
- Boil and drain minced pork. Seasoned with soy sauce and chilli oil.
- Put vegetable oil on the pan at medium heat. Add chopped garlics and stir until golden brown.
- Boil and drain egg noodle (about 45 sec)
- Combine all ingredients together in a bowl
