21: Homemade Sauerkraut & Cucumber Pickles

One of the disadvantages of home cooking is that we tend to leave too much leftovers. For many types of food, even the smallest package is too much for those who live alone.

One way to counter this drawback is to learn food preservations. I began with sauerkraut and pickles. The processes were very simple. You just have to make sure that the bottles as well as the food itself is clean, and the amount of vinegar and salt is sufficient. Fermented food is also beneficial to your gut bacterias which are responsible for your health.
